Sometime
Aleksandra frequently incorporates words as the foundation of her research process. In her series SOMETIME, words take center stage, becoming the stars of the work. She devised an intriguing sentence structure: WE SHOULD ALL ________ SOMETIME. From this framework, she crafted 110 notes about "should have" activities, ranging from humorous and trivial to profound and life-changing decisions.
The series probes why certain actions are taken while others are neglected, questioning what hinders individuals, why criticism is often levied without firsthand experience, and why certain opportunities remain unexplored. These inquiries initiated a three-year period of observation and documentation of artist and others' life choices. SOMETIME reflects on human behavior and decision-making, offering a contemplative
examination of the complexities of choice and the societal norms that influence it.
