By intertwining aprons, representative of traditional domestic responsibilities, with lace, often associated with intimacy, the artist aimed to provoke contemplation on the complex and sometimes contradictory ways in which society perceives women.

Women frequently find themselves assuming a subservient role in society, neglecting to pursue their own dreams or even discover what those dreams may be.
