VULVA BLANKET

Incorporating old linen bed covers, kitchen aprons, and delicate lace fabrics, the artist deliberately fused contrasting symbols to shed light on the multifaceted nature of women’s roles. By intertwining aprons, representative of traditional domestic responsibilities, with lace, often associated with intimacy, the artist aimed to provoke contemplation on the complex and sometimes contradictory ways in which society perceives women.

Women frequently find themselves assuming a subservient role in society, neglecting to pursue their own dreams or even discover what those dreams may be. From an early age, societal norms dictate the acquisition of domestic skills without inquiry into personal passions. In intimate scenarios, the norm becomes prioritizing partner desires over one’s own preferences.
